Work with architects and developers of Ford’s next-generation vehicle software offerings to:
Create test plans and test cases for automated requirements conformance testing for Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in the vehicle.
Work as part of a software development team to create automated test tools that execute the test plans and test cases that the team defines.
Contribute to authoring and updating requirements and specifications related to performing software updates on ECUs in the vehicle.
Serve as the primary point of contact for issues found during ECU testing and support requests from the various ECU software teams and suppliers to enable them to perform the automated conformance testing.
Drive all reported automated ECU test failures to closure, whether those failures are root-caused to be in the automated tools or in the ECU itself.
Collaborate with teams that contribute to the Ford software update solution (e.g., OTA Cloud, Ford Cybersecurity, Ford Customer Service, etc) to design implementations that improve the ability of the automated testing tools to simulate the in-vehicle update experience that ECUs will encounter when software is updated in the field.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
3+ years of software development experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software testing or automation framework development.
Experience with developing or testing embedded systems (cell phones, automotive, control systems, drones, etc).
Experience with software configuration management tools and techniques (github, Ansible, ClearCase, etc).
Detail oriented.
Demonstrated communication skills.
