　　AMERICAN SYSTEMS is on the hunt for a mission-driven professional with strong management skills to become our nextSoftware Developer/Team LeadatEdwards Air Force Base in California. 　　As aSoftware Developer/Team Lead, you will:

　　Week in the life of Software Developer/Team Lead:

　　Develop/modify/enhance software written in C++, C#, Python, Unity in flight test applications.

　　Work with a real time operating system.

　　Develop TCP/UDP communication, especially over unreliable networks.

　　Work in a Linux terminal environment.

　　Work with real-world sensor data to determine aircraft state: dealing with uncertainty/noise, different reference geoids.

　　Apply software development principles in a team environment to develop and refine automated processes.

　　Record test or report procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and make recommendations for changes.

　　Create reports and other documentation necessary to describe the results of studies and/or tests.

　　Analyze indicated and calculated results in relation to requirements, specifications, or test objectives.

　　Work with/lead a software team of 5-10 people; assign tasks and manage tasks and people to get them done.

　　Communicate and manage software requirements with leads of other teams across several projects.

　　Job Requirements

　　Bachelor'sdegree in STEM w/3 years of experienceOR

　　Master's STEM degree w/one year experienceOR

　　Doctorate's STEM degree w/no experience

　　Experience with agile methodology.

　　Experience with Git, including GitLab administration.

　　Software development experience with C++, C#, Python, and/or Unity.

　　Strong management and communication skills

　　NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A 9/80 WORK SCHEDULE (alternating Fridays off); core hours are between 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

　　AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
