Job Title: Software Design Engineer 3
Location: Remote
6 – 18 Months Contract
Pay range: $50/hr. - $55/hr.
We are seeking an innovative, collaborative, and highly motivated Software Design Engineer 3 to join our team. As a key member, you will work alongside developers, data scientists, and researchers to contribute to the development of tools, services, and experiences that support biomedical research, precision medicines, and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:
Support the development of core cloud services and components for Genomics, including first-party services and Open-Source Software (OSS) tools and applications.
Develop, test, and optimize new genomic pipelines.
Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, testing, release, and support of internal software tools and services.
Debug and resolve live-site issues.
Skills and Experience Desired:
Proficient in Azure.net technologies, scripting, C Sharp, and Python.
Familiarity with Azure PowerShell and ARM.
Experience developing, testing, and monitoring Azure cloud applications for at least 5 years.
Minimum of 5 years of .NET development experience.
Passion for learning and applying new, bleeding-edge technologies.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with and contributing to Open-Source projects.
Working knowledge of modern security frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and SOC 2.
Experience working with health and/or life sciences data and technologies is a plus.
Multiple-cloud experience is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
