Job Summary:
This role will be a key team member helping the Digital Organization manage end to end management of COTS ( commercial-off-the-shelf Software) and FOSS ( Free-and-Open-Source-Software). This role would report to the Vice President of Digital Operations, within the Raytheon Digital Technology Organization. Digital Operations supports a portfolio of Engineering and Operations Tools, as well as other various software capabilities. Users of the portfolio are located across the United States, in both Unclassified and Classified Environments. This position is remote and will require some travel.
This role will be a key team member helping the Digital Organization to deliver cost effective software solutions, coordinating with not only our internal customers, but additionally with Supplier Management, to best leverage the Raytheon in the software marketplace. The Software Asset Lifecycle Management Leader would actively manage all aspects of our software portfolio, from introduction to retirement. This role would work across multiple Raytheon organizations, including business leaders and the Digital Operations team, utilizing the data and software expertise to drive strategic sourcing decisions while partnering with key suppliers. The ideal candidate has a passion for software tools, balanced with knowledge about the software marketplace.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Software supplier management and sourcing
Engage and consult with Leaders on their required software capabilities and technology
Development of a recommended Software Lifecycle Management process
Evaluating both RTX Company Wide Agreement and Raytheon software purchasing strategies
Set and manage customer expectations while ensuring that software priorities are optimally met
Support multiple customers, working within specific schedule and cost constraints
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a B.S./M.S. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related, with a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience in IT
Information Technology Asset Management and Asset Management tool experience.
Knowledge of software tools, license types, procurements, and renewals
Familiarity with multiple operating systems and information systems (Windows, Unix and Linux)
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years program work experience in roles of increasing technical leadership and responsibility
Experience negotiating with software suppliers
Working knowledge (including day to day use on a program) of common Engineering Tools
1-2 years engineer tool support experience
Vendor engagement/relationship management office experience.
Experience with deploying and utilizing ServiceNow Asset Management
Experience with managing software lifecycle and licensing
Ability to investigate / solve complex problems
Ability to learn new skills and knowledge in a constantly changing environment
Strong communication, presentation, and people skills with ability to interface with senior leaders and technical management personnel.
Strong teamwork skills – The ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, other Raytheon personnel, and suppliers in a diverse team setting

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
