Holtec International and its subsidiary companies are designing a safe and secure source of clean energy using nuclear fission, called the Holtec SMR (Small Modular Reactor). The position is offered by SMR LLC as a member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for the nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry.

　　Job Description & Responsibilities:

　　· Utilizing Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D structural design models within and supporting the SMR plant, including but not limited to concrete supports, concrete foundations (footings, slabs, etc), structural steel supports (beams, columns, braces, connections), stairs and ladders, piping supports, piping racks, access platforms, walkways, overall buildings, layout drawings, etc.

　　· Maintaining and checking the S3D model to ensure accuracy, and resolution of interferences

　　· Building relationships that will facilitate knowledge transfer, cross functional knowledge of related work groups, and ability to present work products effectively

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　· Minimum 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Structural/Concrete Designer

　　· Understanding of and hands on experience with other 3D design software, such as Solidworks

　　· Knowledge of industry codes and standards, and of design and/or layout criteria

　　· Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free designs

　　· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills

　　Optional Additional Qualifications:

　　· Working understanding of and hands on experience with other design software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit

　　· Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses

　　· Work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/ construction firms.
