Nature of Work:
Performs professional and administrative engineering work reviewing and managing Site Engineering and Right-of-Way permit review staff. Responsibilities include supervising operations and performing review of construction plans, technical calculations and documents, coordinating projects dealing with roadway and drainage improvements, and other duties deemed necessary. Responsibilities also include managing the day to day interactions with the constituents, City staff, and other local, State and, Federal agencies as it relates to stormwater management, roadway design, MS4 requirements, and floodplain management. Work is performed under the supervision of the Assistant City Engineer.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and five years experience in the planning, design and management of civil improvement projects, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Registration as Professional Engineer (P.E.) required. Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification required within 6 months of hire.
