Working Hours/Days

　　8 am to 4:30 pm5 days a week

　　Overview

　　Provide technical service support to Truck Shop customers in a shop environment. This support is in the form of maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines. Assist in the shop with engine tear downs, cleaning parts, staging parts for bigger engines, installing and testing to ensure the concern is fixed. Ensures quality customer service activities designed to increase customer satisfaction.

　　Basic Duties

　　Performs troubleshooting and repair of diesel truck engines in shop.

　　Performs routine maintenance on diesel truck engines.

　　Performs engine overhauls and other major repairs, as needed.

　　Parts ordering for work orders.

　　Reports work on timecards and service reports.

　　Works with service office to coordinate work.

　　Assists service office with repair quotes.

　　May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum 2-year degree from an accredited Diesel Engine Technology Program or equivalent experience in mechanical service work. 5+ years experience preferred.

　　PC skills required and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

　　Must always have outstanding positive attitude!

　　Good communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer service skills necessary.

　　Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

　　CDL required

　　High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

　　Must have a valid Class A CDL license and clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle will be performed on final candidate).

　　Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

　　Job will generally be performed at Altorfer service facility. This position requires extensive standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. May lift up to 75 lbs. Will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, hearing protection, etc.) when needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
