Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Procurement Manager in Boise ID. As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for assisting our client with the development of the procurement strategy. This position comes with a great benefits package, and is a long term position.
Responsibilities:
Participation in community engagement via Industry Days, quarterly meetings with other communities, responding to ad hoc meeting requests to support overall socioeconomic drivers from a procurement perspective
Manage the Procurement Plan and associated schedule including addressing Notices of Concern and timing of work package releases
Oversee development of cradle to grave work packages, according to workflow activities, to Subcontract Award Recommendation (SAR) concurrence stage
Responsibility for contract formation including potential supply arrangements, standing offers, subcontracts, purchase orders etc.
Interface with the govt of Canada at regular meetings as well as attending multiple in person meetings across Canada each fiscal year
Responsibility for continuous improvement to the procurement process
Monitor lessons learned to hone documentation and workflows to better align with market conditions
Assist the procurement staff in administering agreements and support them in dispute resolution where necessary
Provide weekly and monthly procurement tracking to the Reporting Manager
Conduct closeout processes
Present strategic plan for the assigned categories and report status
Build consensus on assigned category strategic plan and refine (if required)
Provide input on procurement initiatives.
Assist Category Director in building integrated strategic plan
Interface with Customers, Procurement Business Partners, and Suppliers on Category Strategies
Ensure customer category requirements are met
Communicate strategic sourcing goals, category management plans, initiatives and targets to customers.
Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions
Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with Category Director, Category Supplier Managers, and Global Supplier Managers
Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction with key suppliers
Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Economics (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience, including some experience in a lead capacity.
Broad experience in a variety of procurement assignments, proven leadership capability, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required. A demonstrated proficiency in utilizing DMCS (or similar material control system) is also required.

Salary Range:
$92,200.00 - $161,400.00
