Job Listing DetailIf this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity within our Westinghouse facility in New Stanton, PA. The EQ Test Technician will support Equipment Qualification test programs such as seismic, environmental, and EMC testing and is responsible for performing test set-up to a variety of mechanical and electrical components, per engineering instructions, through test procedures.
Your Day-to-Day:Operate electronic and mechanical test equipment.Ability to mechanically set-up and fixture equipment under test, electrically wire for function and monitoring.Perform and execute testing in compliance with quality assurance and safety requirements.Operation of machine tools, overhead crane, and service equipmentOperate electronic and electrical test equipment. Including but not limited to: digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, electronic loads, data logger, etc.Ability to perform functional testing of equipment under test and record the results on data sheets per engineering instruction.Ability to comprehend intermediate fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment.Ability to apply skill and knowledge in rigging heavy and awkward loads.Read and follow drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for test set-up, applying knowledge of basic electronic theory and components.Ability to create test logs to document set-up, testing, issues, and equipment.Confer with engineers to review work activities or to resolve test problems.Ability to troubleshoot equipment under test and electrical test set-ups.Learn, understand and demonstrate Nuclear Safety Culture and Human Performance principles throughout day-to-day job interactions.
