What Will Your Job Look Like?The Shop Supervisor will perform compliance and quality inspections onvehicles and facilities in accordance with company and contract requirements.The Shop Supervisor will oversee all vehicle maintenance needs, manage theirshift, assign work, monitor work load and technician productivity, otherday-to-day vehicle maintenance shift operations, working with dispatch,utility crew, facilities and assisting with parts and other duties asassigned. Shop Supervisor will report to the shop Manager.What Youll Do:Ensure OSHA, DOT, ADA, EPA, State, Federal and Contract expectationsare met and compliantPlan and assign workloads based on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance anddaily requirementsEnsure the shop and facilities are kept clean and organizedResponsible for the quality of all areas of repairs thru on the spotcorrections and required post repair work inspectionsMonitor employee and fleet performance metrics in accordance with thecontractual requirementsEnsure customer demands are met by coordinating with the operations to ensureproper availability of revenue vehiclesPrioritize work and assign work ensuring efficiencies and productivity of thetechniciansReview and assign work orders from DVIRs (Driver Vehicle InspectionReports) daily to techniciansDocument all training needs and requirements of the techniciansAssist the Fleet / Facility Manager with the maintenance of the facilitiesIdentify cost saving opportunities in the fleet operationsResponsible for all mechanical and electrical service, and repair of MTMTransit service vehiclesResponsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities andgroundsPerform additional duties as assigned or requiredWhat Youll need:High School Diploma or G.E.D.3+ years automotive mechanical experiencePrior supervisory experience in vehicle maintenance preferredExperience using hand and power toolsMust maintain a valid state applicable drivers licenseProvide own tools to include diagnostic and specialty tools as required ifapplicableEven better if you have...Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational skills with attention to timeliness and detailsProficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders arecompleted correctlyVisibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and healthprocedures and modeling the behavior related to suchAbility to attend safety and vehicle repair coursesAbility to work flexible hours as requiredAbility to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulationsKnowledge of gasoline and diesel engine repairsAutomotive courses from automotive institute preferredRegular attendance is requiredWhats in it for you:Health and Life Insurance PlansDental and Vision Plans401(k)Paid Time Off and Holiday PayMaternity/Paternity LeaveTuition ReimbursementLeadership Mentoring OpportunitiesHourly Rate: Up to $80k/yearThis information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based oncurrent national market data.
