Shipping Assistant
We are looking for a shipping assistant to join our * * awesome APAC Transportation Team in Singapore.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to support the Shipping Team in daily operations and other activities. This includes but is not limited to shipment arrangement/coordination/monitoring/execution/rates inquiries, handling shipments with damage or discrepancies, Certificate of Origin (COO) and Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO) application including all supporting documents, Freight Forwarders’ billing validation.

Key Accountabilities
Shipment monitoring, execution
Billing validation
COO and PCO Application
Handling shipments with damage and other discrepancies
Other ad hoc tasks such as continuous improvement, report validation (MES and COO), involvement in monthly business reviews, etc.
Key Success Factors
Actual Goods Issue as per Planned Goods Issue Date (measured at order line level)
Number of COO or PCO applied.
Number of validated Invoices.
Number of shipments arranged.
Number Non-Conformance (NC)/(Damage Discrepancy Report (DDR) cases handled
Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations
The position will be part of the GSI (Grundfos Singapore) Shipping Team. As a function supporting the region, this role will mainly deal with the Supply Chain team of 3 different plants namely GSI 1 (DC – Distribution Center), GSI 2 (Assembly Plant), and SSG (Spare Parts/Service). It is also connected to different Sales companies that Singapore DC is supporting. As for external stakeholders, this role will mainly deal with Freight Forwarders, 3PL, and external suppliers.
Required Minimum Qualifications
We imagine that you have:
Degree or Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
With at least 1-2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Industry
Competencies
Ability to keep track of open tasks until the issue is closed. Able to show initiative and make decisions in the daily execution of job scope.
Capable of being motivated quickly, having good prioritization skills, and capable of interacting with people from all levels.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and can work in a cross-cultural environment.
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize tasks and time management. Structured, process-oriented, and pay attention to details.
Open-minded, result-oriented, and willing to accept opportunities and learn new things.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and preferably with experience in SAP
