Job Summary:
This mid-level Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, unpacking and examining goods, and routing incoming goods to departments. Prepares products for shipment to both domestic and international locations and keeps records of goods shipped. Interfaces with manufacturing personnel as required to ensure on-time delivery to our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receives, unpacks, and examines goods shipped and verifies completeness of shipments against bill of lading, invoices, and other records
Counts and compares quantity and identification numbers of units against order
Processes receipts and delivery of material from suppliers to other areas of the facility
Prepares materials for shipment, coordinates carrier pick-ups and accurately presents shipments to carriers with proper documentation. Completes shipping documents and freight bills for daily shipments
Prepares identifying information and shipping instructions on containers
Moves containers to shipping dock using hand truck or other similar equipment
Interfaces with manufacturing personnel as required
Determines and initiates packaging requirements for next day’s ship
Processes and maintains returned goods
Processes and boxes spares for shipment.
Identifies improvement opportunities for processes in the area and participates in activities to implement improvement ideas
Takes an active role to ensure Environment, Health, and Safety standards and procedures are met and complied with
Looks for ways to eliminate safety hazards and improve the overall safety of the workplace
Provides continuous improvement ideas in order to support lean and CORE initiatives
Ensures quality product utilizing Collins Aerospace quality procedures
Audits work area for safety compliance
Adheres to all Collins Aerospace rules and codes of conduct
Performs other duties as required and available for overtime as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos
Ability to do basic math including calculation of area and units of measure conversions
Basic computer knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and ability to learn new software programs
Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Basic knowledge of MRP systems, preferably SAP
Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to focus on task
Strong self-management/ team skills: self-directed, interacts well with others, multiple-task management, follows instructions, able to check one’s work
At least 2 years relevant job-related experience and/or training preferred

The salary range for this role is $16.67to $22.56; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
