Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for the design and modernization of the Radio Communications System (RCS) suite of the Independence Class of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) to include: HF, VHF, UHF LOS, UHF SATCOM, SHF, and EHF Radio Frequency (RF) systems and equipment. Shipboard qualification testing, including At-Sea testing and troubleshooting will be conducted at the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, AL and US Naval bases as required.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and at least 8 years experience in military communications system operation, maintenance and troubleshooting
Strong background and experience with shipboard RCS systems and equipment: operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Electronics Technician NEC or Information System Technician NEC or equivalent MOS, AFFC
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
