JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri MarineGroup Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building shipsfor the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a AreaManager at our Marinette, Wisconsin location. POSITION SUMMARY Thisposition is responsible for leading the execution of productionactivities for a specific stage of construction (SOC), or dockside shipsin our new shipbuilding construction process, focusing on electrical.The Ship Area Manager will be responsible and accountable for cost,productivity and schedule performance in their assigned SOC. The ShipArea Manager will be supported by middle and front line supervision frommultiple trades. A Ship Area Manager will have responsibility forbetween 100-300 production employees on a daily basis. This positioninvolves frequent, regular interaction with Manufacturing SeniorLeadership team; their direct Supervisory team, union personnel, andHuman Resources. The Ship Area Manager will provide regular statusreports, performance metrics and updates on their continuous improvementprocess efforts to Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This position involvesregular contact with our customer inspection teams, ABS and SUPSHIPinspection teams related to compliance with requirements, quality ofwork and adherence to schedule. This position may require interfaceswith system/equipment suppliers. This position will have directsupervision of the manufacturing team consisting of General Foremen andfront line Foremen. The Ship Area Manager will carry out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with MMC's policies and applicable stateand federal laws. Supervisory responsibilities will include assigningand directing work; appraising performance; addressing employee andcustomer/employee complaints and problem resolution.
