Service MANAGER Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule service work for the techniciansWork with customers to schedule service and assist as necessary.Work with Sales Department to get equipment set up, ready to be sold, and deliveredWorking with technicians to get trade-in equipment ready for display and/ or sale.Each morning, reconcile technician's timecard with service tickets that they worked on the day before. Making sure they were clocked in on a work ticket at all times.Finalize work tickets as technicians complete job by charging them out to customer or internal unitKeep Warranty work tickets up to date by submitting claimsHave technicians keep oil changed in rolling stock. Driver that is responsible for vehicle will let you know when he or she has 5,000 mile interval. Includes cleaned and detailedKeep vehicles DOT inspected and in dependable working order, as well as tools and equipmentWorking with Parts Department on pre-orders, look up parts for shop work as needed, etc.Keeping technicians and yourself update in service school training and warrantyKeeping appropriate paperwork flow to our manufacturer's service representatives to be Service Excellence Qualified, including Product Improvement Program claims. We last obtained Service Excellence in 2020 with New Holland.Fill out new equipment pre-delivery worksheets and send to manufacturer.Stay on top of PIP notifications and working with customers to get them completed.Keeps shop area clean and organizedUpholds best practices and processes for a good working environment in the shop with employees and customersPlans and coordinates customer clinics and other promotional events, including service department seasonal specials, working with marketing to properly advertiseAssists with recruitment, hiring process, and further develops and retains service technicians and talent with appropriate feedback and guidanceMust be able to efficiently work on a computerMust have dependable way to get to workOther duties as necessary
