As our Service/Systems Technician, you will: Install JBT control systems at the customer plant Provide technical support to JBT leased equipment to ensure that all equipment and electrical systems are functioning properly and is in good repair Build and install machinery, maintain & support JBT equipment, and assist the California service team by providing labeling service when necessary and directed. You will report directly to the Customer Care Sales Manager of our Fresh Produce Technology (FPT) team. On a given day, you might find yourself: Build & Install Identify areas of the customer facility where JBT could add value added technology and support. Develop a broad knowledge of the latest electrical control methods that best meet JBT systems and designs. Maintain & Support Maintain & Support Maintain and calibrate customer’s equipment and systems that are covered by a service/maintenance agreement Attend tradeshows and vendor plants to fully understand the methods and logic behind their systems Ensure that spare parts to support leased control systems, sold service contracts and labelers are available when required and usage is documented Train customers and service personnel on the proper operation of JBT control system Respond to customers request dealing with electrical repair on non JBT equipment Label and Coating Service Maintain machinery as and where directed on an ongoing basis. Mix and set-up process materials as directed per JBT agreement with customer Implement preventative maintenance and overhaul programs that minimize parts costs, labor costs, and machinery downtime. Ensure that machinery performs to JBT and customer standards and specifications. Maintain appropriate (not excessive) inventory levels for parts and chemicals. Provide assistance in processing equipment installation. Work closely with customer personnel in the operation of their plant(s), and report day to day problems and opportunities immediately to your supervisor. Follow-up on any service-related issues promptly and constantly pursue customer satisfaction. Communicate with customer personnel and report problems & opportunities immediately to your supervisor. Resolve customers electrical control problems in a timely manner that meets the customer requirements. Inform management on customer problems and information considered relevant to the business. Maintain knowledge on the operation and placement of JBT and customer equipment and systems. Valid driver’s license.
