JOB REQUIREMENTS: Service Engineering Stress-Liaison TechnicalSpecialist II (Appleton, WI)in GAC Appleton Unique Skills: This positionmust reside in the Appleton Wisconson area and will work out of theGulfstream Appleton Hangar Unique Skills required for Stress Liaisonposition: * Responsibilities include performing both liaison duties andstress analysis in support of \"Green aircraft\" repair, rework andalteration * Must have working knowledge of Title 14 of the Code ofFederal Regulations (14CFR - especially Chapter I, Part 25), as itpertains to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulation proceduresand a willingness to support other certification related activities forboth FAA and foreign airworthiness authorities. * Must have a basicknowledge of 14CFR 145 repair station activities and aircraft repair asperformed per 14CFR43 * Must have experience with review of engineeringdrawings, researching and preparing calculations and writing stressreports * Must have excellent communication skills both written andverbal, must be a self starter and comfortable working multiple priorityjobs while balancing customer expectations. * Must have the ability toeffectively work with and support a multi-discipline team of engineers,technicians, Quality Control, upper management, etc. * Must be able tochange roles between structural design work, stress work andtroubleshooting while working to manage and maintain schedule on allrelated tasks * Candidates must have prior experience using 3D modelingsystems (typically CATIA) to adequately review Engineering designs. *Must be able to perform analysis utilizing Classical hand analysis andelementary Finite Element Modeling using FEMAP / PATRAN with Nastran. *Must have some familiarity with Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysistechniques (AFGROW). * Must have some skill in the development andanalysis of composite repairs Preferred Skills: * Experience withElectrical and/or mechanical systems troubleshooting * Experiencecreating 2D repair drawings * Prior Experience with Gulfstream aircraft* FAA DER or ODA unit member for 14CFR25 related aircraft structures *Experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog,Aircraft Maintenance Manuals. * Experience with Fatigue and DamageTolerance Analysis techniques (AFGROW). * Experience in the developmentand analysis of composite repairs Assignments are executed under thesupervision of the Savannah Service Center Engineering Group Head tomeet Engineering, Certification and manufacturing schedules.
