Senior Wallpaper Installer. Staten Island, NY. Salary ranges from $46,426 - $62,587.Apply installations and coverings on various surfaces (glass, drywall, concrete, brick etc) according to all requirements and standards; Inspect the work site and surface for any damage, imperfections or removal of existing graphics and coverings; Set up equipment, wallpaper tools and materials for the installation; Take measurements and define all possible complications of the installation process; Install elements using installation techniques on indoor and outdoor surfaces; Apply adhesives to construction materials and trim excess material from installations; Communicate with the client to meet desirable expectations; Communicate with the Project Manager on job progress and with team on site, assign tasks for members of the crew, overview the installment process; Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation.Special skills: Knowledge of use of measuring tools and power tools ( drill, screw gun); Experience and knowledge of different techniques for installation of commercial wallpaper coverings, indoor and outdoor signage (illuminated and not illuminated);Experience and knowledge of ADA standards required for installation of ADA signs; Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and/or blueprints to locate positions of the signs/murals that need to be installed; Ability to properly “survey” the area for future installation; Must be able to frequently lift and carry loads up to 75 lb; Have full understanding of every step of production process and knowledge of the materials commonly used in the industry to be able to correctly choose installation technique and recommend best materials during site inspections for future installations.Travel within New York Metropolitan Area for various projects with a distance not exceeding 30 miles from the employment location.High school diploma and 6 months experience in paperhanger or wallpaper required. Alternatively no diploma and 12 months experience in paperhanger or wallpaper or similar is accepted.
