Senior Vice President/Director-- Financial Due Diligence Practice - r696
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:General Purpose: Seeking a full time Senior Vice President or Director to join a growing Transaction Advisory practice as a team member to lead buy side and sell side financial accounting due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients. Transaction Advisory team members engage in assessing a company's quality of earnings, analyzing working capital, identifying commitments and contingencies, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: * Supervising analysts and associates * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and other administrative tasks * Identify key risks and potential deal breakers * Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operational data. Synthesize data and information into meaningful observations and conclusions. * Generate a due diligence report to organize and communicate our findings * Lead due diligence calls and meetings with client and target company management * Review audit work papers to understand key accounting policies and procedures * Provide insights to purchase agreement and other deal documents * Actively involved in business development including client pursuits and proposals * Participating in the hiring and training of analysts and associates
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint * Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.) * Entrepreneurial * Positive and enthusiastic attitude * Excels in a team-oriented work environment * Shows creativity in problem solving * Accountability and ability to multi-task * Professional presence * Strong technical and analytical skills * Detail-oriented * Self-motivated with a strong work ethic * Ability to travel up to 50% on short notice * Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
Education and/or Training: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related major * Minimum 10+ years of experience in audit and/or financial accounting due diligence (with at least 1 year in due diligence). Big Four experience preferred. * Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
