Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Senior Tax Manager.Responsibilities:
Assist the Tax Team in monitoring and identifying tax implications of actual and proposed company activities
Work within the company and with external tax firm partners to prepare and file extensions, tax returns and all other required reporting; Oversee and direct Federal & State tax compliance g and assist other compliance processes including, but not limited to sales, VAT, property, excise, and related taxes in all tax jurisdictions worldwide
Confirm compliance files are thoroughly and contemporaneously documented and maintained in financial accounting, IRS, U.S. state and foreign audit ready formats
Work with Controllers group and Tax team to ensure taxes and tax disclosures are properly documented in financial statements, including preparing or supporting preparation of tax provisions
Ensure tax processes and statements are compliant with all relevant accounting standards, principally GAAP (particularly income tax accounting standards (ASC 740)) and are designed and executed to be consistent with SOX and other internal control standards
Participate with the Tax team, in conjunction with the Financial Planning & Analysis team, on tax forecasts
Perform or supervise tax technical research and document all tax policies and positions; Monitor evolving tax regulatory and accounting methods to ensure compliance and best practices are implemented in tax policies
Remain connected to third party information sources to ensure that new or modified tax laws are accurately complied with and accounted for on a timely basis
Work closely with company's Global Mobility team and other finance teams to address tax implications
Assist in overseeing examinations or audits of taxes by authorities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with proficiency in ASC 740 and other tax accounting requirements and standards (or comparable legal qualifications) a plus
At least 8 years of relevant tax experience in industry or with a large public accounting firm serving multi-national companies
Big 4 experience a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
