Job Description

　　BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence, Computers, Intelligence, and Mission Management using data center virtualization and Amazon cloud technologies. The qualified candidate will support systems engineering for an enterprise system of complex software services and frameworks in both the C2S and virtualized data center environment.

　　Assigned tasks may include:

　　Work with our customers and other segments to define new requirements and Concepts of Operations (ConOps) for an enterprise intelligence content management system

　　Assess customer-driven Requests for Change (RFC) and lead and/or contribute to Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, to include creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) and proposal Technical Volume

　　Perform requirements analysis, decomposition and derivation, work with Software Architects to define Concepts of Operations that will support emerging functional capabilities, define required parameters and data formats for ingest, discovery and delivery services, as well as supporting Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with customers and other programs.

　　Develop presentation packages to communicate concepts, ConOps, requirements and potential architectures to the customers, other segments and development teams

　　Follow program requirements during development across implementation and integration teams to ensure that the development converges on a coherent and unified system.

　　Provide assistance to the test team in the development of program level test cases, as well as developing ICDs, training materials for the systems operators and other architectural drawings and presentation materials

　　Required Education, Experience, & Skills

　　Bachelor s Degree in engineering or technical discipline and 10 years related experience

　　US Citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance

　　Familiarity with Geospatial Intelligence domains, practices and procedures

　　Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment

　　Experience with the proposal writing process and methodologies

　　Knowledge of Systems engineering activities, processes, and methodologies (Agile, waterfall, etc.)

　　Experience with requirements development, requirements management systems, system design of complex systems, incorporating new designs and systems into existing platforms and developing technical documentation- Demonstrated technical writing skills- Strong oral and written communications skills- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, users, and contractors from the DoD communities

　　Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

　　Bachelor of Science degree

　　Familiarity with virtual data center and/or Cloud computing environments and services such as AWS

　　Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

　　Experience with Magic Draw

　　Familiarity with DoDAF

　　Pay Information

　　Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

　　Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
