[RGA in St. Louis MO seeks a Senior Systems Analyst responsible for delivering integrated product solutions and support for actuarial modeling and prediction platforms by ensuring adequate testing of platform improvements and providing continuous operational support. The Senior Systems Analyst fulfills these obligations while operating within a team and interfacing with customers. Specific duties for the position involving the software development life cycle: providing it solution design, delivery, and support expertise in various programming languages; applying leadership and ownership through the full solution-development life cycle, while providing ongoing estimates, deliverables, and results during the process; analyzing requirements, developing technical specifications, and performing solution gap analysis through the agile/scrum methodology; providing technical and business application consultation to customers and team members regarding functionality, architecture, operating systems, and databases for complex product systems; preparing and presenting application and programming design solutions to meet business requirements; engaging technical analysts and business users to provide input on testcases, test scenarios, and test plans; evaluating and balancing application change risk with business needs for timely and seamless product enhancements; identifying and rapidly resolving issues to enable operations, and efficiently designing, delivering, and releasing operational enhancements to address performance, stability, and monitoring capabilities of the platforms; and developing and documenting the operational support knowledge base, and providing training guidance to team members and business users as required. Additionally, the specific duties for the position involving engagement with business and peers: meeting regularly with project management and technical leads to manage status, milestones, risks, and issues in an agile system development life cycle; and maintaining effective customer relationships and engaging in customer planning sessions and developing and planning customer-set requirements. BS in Computer Science or closely related field. The individual must possess at least 60 months of experience in programming / systems analysis; proven experience with structured and object-oriented programming, relational database management systems, operating systems, networking concepts, systems integration, database development, and agile development. Significant experience in several programming languages (C#.NET, ASP.NET, AND JAVASCRIPT), Service-oriented architecture web application implementation.
