　　Senior System Administrator

　　JHNA is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing system administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks.

　　This position will require on-site presence at NAVAIR in Patuxent River, MD.

　　Roles/Responsibilities

　　Work to help maintain and upgrade network infrastructures across the NAVAIR

　　Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users

　　Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination

　　Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems

　　Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.

　　Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

　　Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems

　　Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities

　　Plan for authorized service interruptions and outages

　　Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages

　　Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution

　　Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning

　　Test operating system and software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes

　　Job Requirements

　　Candidate must possess an Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required.

　　Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.-Will accept additional years of experience in lieu of education requirement.

　　At least 5 years of experience in system administration, performing the functional duties for this position.

　　Deployment/configuration/support for: VMWare/vSphere Enterprise, Cisco switches, SAN, Windows server

　　Experience with: Networking, Linux .

　　Knowledge of networking/ IT principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development, of new and innovative principles and concepts.
