To enable this mission it is crucial for the Storage team to continue innovation in the multi-cloud space and to accelerate progress in the field of unstructured data management and processing.We're seeking talented senior software engineers to execute and accelerate Snowflake's multi-cloud strategy vision by laying the foundation for Storage team's observability "v.Next".AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER: STORAGE CORE PLATFORM YOU WILL:Solve real, pressing business needs at scale by applying your software engineering skills, as well as analytical problem solving and collaboration skillsLay the foundation for Storage core platforms' observability roadmap, from design to productionCollaborate closely with multiple engineering teams to design and build new technologies that will unlock new revenue streams and maximize existing ones by providing deeper insights, improving performance, and reliability of the systems that underpin all of the Snowflake.Participate in on-call rotation and shape the strategy for continuing to keep the on-call load low, while enabling 10x growthOUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:5+ years relevant industry experience working on distributed persistent systems, or equivalentHave fluent, high quality coding skills, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systemsAlignment with thePrevious experience in setting and delivering internal service metrics that represent the customer experience, that inform further improvements to the product.Have experience in systems programming including multi-threading, concurrency, etc. Fluency in C++ or Java (or other similar procedural object-oriented language) is preferredHave experience with at least one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) as a plus.Snowflake is continuing to grow quickly and we are scaling our teams to help enable and accelerate growth of Snowflake and your career.The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
