Job Description:
Experienced IT professional familiar with design, implementation, and operations of classified systems. Provide support and coordination for the design and implementation of various compute, storage and virtual components in the different environments at the site. Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Windows (Server and Desktop), Active Directory, PKI, VMWare and Citrix. Key responsibilities include designing, building, hardening, and maintaining systems in multiple classified areas. Additional responsibilities include the maintenance and support of approved applications and end-users. Knowledge of RMF and DCSA accreditation processes a must.
Must possess a broad Windows background to support engineering and administrative networks. The right individual will have varying levels of knowledge and experience in the following areas:
MS Windows Server & Workstation O/S
Microsoft Office products
Remote Tools: RDP, VNC, etc.
System Center Config Manager (SCCM)
Citrix XenApp, VMWare
Scripting and Automation
Essential Functions:
Provide system administration and support for physical and virtual machines for multiple Windows Server/Workstation variants and virtualization technologies.
Build, configure, and troubleshoot networks, AD domains, and virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) with an emphasis in supporting Citrix environments hosted on VMWare hypervisor.
Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and to manage and standardize computing environments by building and deploying SCCM applications/packages, OS deployments, and configuring server/workstation baselines.
Support ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes by patching, hardening, and/or upgrading systems as appropriate.
Coordinate with IT Security as needed to identify, document, and resolve system vulnerabilities.
Develop and promote positive end-user relationships through prompt support and resolution of IT issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Active US DoD Top Secret/SCI OR Top Secret SCI eligible security clearance, with ability to obtain SAP access and willingness to be submitted/granted a CI (Counter Intelligence) Polygraph.
Security+ CE or any DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher approved certification.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active US Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly.
Experience with Wyse Management Suite.
Active Directory and GPO management experience.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange.
Knowledge of basic networking concepts and working principles. Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, Network Certification a plus.
Experience with SCCM.
Experience supporting RedHat, Centos or ubuntu Linux.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills at all levels of an organization.
Experience providing direct IT Desktop support in a fast paced environment.
Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities.
