  Position Description:

  Senior Specialist, Business Architect

  Our Research & Development Division Clinical and Real-World Evidence Generation (CRWEG) Process Excellence, Augmentation and Architecture (PEAAr) group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist / Business Architect responsible for developing business architectural models and plans for our value team.

  Under the guidance of a senior business architect, the Senior Specialist / Business Architect will contribute to align the outcomes of technology improvements with the goal of business transformations. The initial areas of focus are creating new capabilities to enable clinical trial data strategy and business performance improvement through Generative AI applications.

  Responsibilities:

  Develop business acumen and in-depth knowledge of data/data standards in the clinical development and real-world evidence/value generation domain.

  Apply the domain knowledge in day-to-day architectural practice and influencing system design and process improvements.

  Build target-state business capabilitymaps and value streams in alignment with strategic drivers and business objectives.

  Develop specific architectural deliverablesand insightsfrom collated informationto improve clarity and effectiveness in communication and strategy management processes.

  Perform gap assessment between current-state and target-state business architecture. Identifycandidate roadmap componentsbased on the gap assessment results.

  Partner with other stakeholders in IT and business to develop transitional architectures and implementation roadmaps.

  Act as liaison to convey information between IT and business.Ensure all stakeholders are aware of the strategic management approach and timetable.

  Help to align value team level activities with divisional and enterprise architectures.

  Maintain strong relationships with business partners, IT product lines and key vendors.

  Stay up-to-date with emerging industry technologies.

  Position Qualifications :

  Education Minimum Requirement:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplineRequired Experience and Skills :

  Minimum of 7 years’ architecture, business/technical analysis, or solution deliveryIT experience in life science industry

  Experience in business process modeling and process improvement

  Experience in strategic planning focused on business capability enablement

  Experience in system design

  Strong analytical thinking for problem solving

  Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and business audiences

  Strong organization, influencing, and follow-up skills

  Strong collaboration and teamwork experience

  Preferred Experience and Skills

  Knowledge of development process in pharmaceutical industry

  Knowledge of data and data standards in life science industry

  Familiarity with application development, testing and implementation in cloud environments

  Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.

  Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $91,600.00 - $144,100.00
