We are part of Azure Resource Manager team which is the deployment and management service for Azure. Our team is responsible for designing and operating the management layer which lets Azure customers manage resources in their Azure account. As Azure expands to more and more regions, cloud buildout is a technically challenging area with a complex interplay of device commissioning and service deployments.
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you lead a team who would be responsible to design scalable, complex services and tools which can accelerate cloud buildouts and provide highly secure, role-based access control for operating the cloud.

Responsibilities
Coaches and supports partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within teams.
Coaches teams and drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
Coaches team members within the team in producing extensible and maintainable code.
Coaches team to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers).
Coaches others and acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers across products, working on call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
Seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
OR Python
OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years people management experience.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
