We are looking for a Senior Puppet Engineer to join our team for internal cloud hosted physical and virtual machine server management. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Puppet modules and manifests. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and scalability of our infrastructure by automating the deployment of applications and services. Handle 35,000 + RHEL, Windows, and AIX servers in a private cloud environment. You will assist in designing, enforcing, and maintaining security rules, policies, configuration management in production and build environments. Our Puppet platform also provides connectivity to run Linux and AIX patching through ServiceNow workflows and Windows Server OS patching via WSUS and Bolt.Job Responsibilities:Technical Engineering ServicesDesign, develop, and maintain Puppet modules and manifestsAutomate the deployment of applications, services, and security patchesManage CI/CD pipelines and other similar workflows in GitHub, GitLab, Puppet console, Bolt, and ServiceNowInnovationChips in to designs to implement new ideas which use new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more optimally through industry perspectives.Understands the creation of company IPR.Technical LeadershipCollaborates with technical teams and applies system expertise to deliver technical solutions.Continuously learns and guides others on existing and new technologies.Contributes to the development of others through mentoring or in house workshops and learning sessions.Technology StrategySupplies new and existing technology options that support business goals.Understands current technology that supports business goals.
