Job Description

Oracle’s Application Development Platform team creates the cutting-edge technology platform empowering both Oracle's apps and customers to build next generation, intelligent and feature-rich application extensions. This platform includes Visual Builder Studio, Oracle JET, as well as a set of services for search and business objects.

Visual Builder Studio is the framework for application on the web and mobile platforms. Oracle JET is a collection of open source JavaScript libraries along with a set of Oracle contributed JavaScript libraries that make it as simple and efficient as possible to build applications that consume and interact with Oracle products and services, especially Oracle Cloud services.

We are looking for a principal developer to join the team. Your responsibilities include

Architect, design and implement new features

Assist other technical employees (QA, Documentation and Marketing)

Provide technical assistance to customers

Career Level - IC3

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Software development with more than two years experience is preferred

Strong problem solving skills

Framework design and development with good understanding of the impacts and attention to details

Expertise in front end technologies like HTML, CSS, Java Script. Experience with Bootstrap, React or similar products is a bonus

Self motivated and great interests in user interface and experience work

Team player, adapt well to changing work requirements

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
