Microsoft Azure organization offers a terrific opportunity for technical enrichment and career growth. As part of Microsoft Azure, the Azure Networking team designs and builds the network infrastructure that powers hundreds of thousands of servers in datacenters around the globe, providing core network infrastructure services for Azure, Bing, and other Microsoft cloud services. In Azure Networking, we are at the very front of Cloud Computing by running one of the largest data center networks in the world.
As a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Networking, you will gain marketable experience in massive scale data center network architecture design, network infrastructure automatic management, software defined networking and high scalable/available/reliable distributed service design/implementation.
You would start working with existing service teams, IPAM (IP Address Management) or Metadata, which are based in China to collaborate with and gain deep domain knowledge. The IPAM and Metadata systems track every IP address and network port owned by Microsoft, and data-validation ensures correctness. All our network management tooling, from quality control to alerting to configuration management, is driven from an authoritative description of what our network should be and what types of routers/switches, how they are connected, and details such as what IP addresses and features are configured on them.
