Senior Software Engineer at Squarespace, Inc. (New York, NY)Build robots infrastructure and re-imagine how Squarespace operates out of the cloud. Collaborate with other engineering teams to improve engineering agility, system reliability, and report to the Engineering Team Manager. Daily job duties include:1.Build golden paths for Squarespace engineering teams to write clean software, infrastructure as code, and documentation.2.Explore, prove out, and harden migration paths from Squarespace data centers to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).3.Partner with other engineering teams to map their needs to Squarespace infrastructure offerings.4.Build out and improve observability for our infrastructural services.5.Discover and manage complex database solutions for Squarespace use and customers.Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in any occupation where software engineering or managing infrastructural systems experience was gained. Experience must include:1.5 years of experience programming with Go or similar languages.2.3 years of experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.3.3 years of experience with managing database systems for large scale applications.4.3 years of experience with infrastructural configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform.5.3 years of experience with observability toolings such as Prometheus, Grafana.6.3 years of experience taking software engineering projects from problem statement to delivery.Role permits full-time telecommuting.
