Our data platform powers numerous analysis services and machine learning models that answer key questions helping our customers and partners improve their business models and services. 　　We are looking for senior SW Engineers to technically lead a team of highly motivated and talented software developers building highly scalable data platforms and deliver services and experiences for empowering Microsoft’s customer and partner ecosystem to be successful. 　　Responsibilities

　　As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the following:

　　Passionate about technology and obsessed about customer needs.

　　Delivering on an ambitious product and data platform roadmap, including building new services on top of vast amount data collected by our batch and near real time data engines.

　　Working with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues

　　Communicate effectively and build relationships with our partner teams.

　　Help shape our long-term architecture and technology choices across the full client and services stack.

　　Understand the talent needs of the team and help recruit new talent.

　　Mentoring and growing other engineers to bring in efficiency and better productivity.

　　Qualifications

　　Required Qualifications

　　BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree

　　8+ years’ experience as a data engineer in a data-focused role for shipped software products or services.

　　Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL and hands-on experience using distributed computing platforms like Apache Spark, Apache Flink Apache Kafka or Azure Eventhub.

　　Production experience working with Azure Synapse, Snowflake or similar managed MPP database technologies.

　　Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Demonstrable experience shipping software, internet scale services using GraphQL/REST API(s) on Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services(AWS) cloud.

　　Experience delivering highly secure, reliable, and maintainable code.

　　Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.

　　Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes

　　Ability to communicate ideas effectively.

　　Experience working in cloud platform is a plus.
