Our Digital Security and Risk Engineering (DSRE) team within Microsoft Security is looking for a Senior Security Program Manager to join the Productivity Security Services team.
In this role you will become a security program lead, in at least one 1st party productivity platform and will be empowered to determine which services and features meet our security standards and develop green plans for those that don’t. You will be responsible for creating security guidance that will enable internal teams and customers to implement similar secure services in their enterprises.
You will work with different groups within Microsoft Digital (MSD), as well as Product Groups in setting the direction on how specific emerging technologies are secured. Responsibilities
• Develop and drive the security vision, roadmap, and priorities for one or more Productivity Platform(s).
• Serve as Security Subject Matter Expert within MSD and other Microsoft groups alike on one or more Productivity Platform(s).
• Lead and Identify cross-organizational teams to create and maintain Security guidance (e.g. Baselines, Reference Architectures, Design Patterns, Control Procedures) for one or more Platform(s).
• Evaluate capabilities and features for one or more Platforms to identify gaps against our security standards and drive security gap resolution.
• Communicate progress to leadership on efforts towards securing one or more Platform(s).
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
3+ years of security architecture experience
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience with enterprise IT service delivery.
5+ years of experiences producing quality technical documentation.
Experience conducting security reviews.
Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
Administrator, developer, and/or security experience with one or more of the following platforms: Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365 Enterprise (Office, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Yammer, Power Platform, Analytics, AI Platform, others).
Experience securing cloud solutions or information security background.
Familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) enabled applications
Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
