Senior Security Officer

HOW A SENIOR SECURITY OFFICER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Processes clearances and maintains records for a USG Customer
Develop and maintain the security education training program, CI awareness, and Insider Threat Program for new/current employees for National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) compliance
Maintain project requirements, tracks, and manages schedule taskers for current and on-going SCIF construction projects
Maintain several Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities accreditations and certifications for compliance per Intelligence Community Directives 704 requirements
Conduct weekly Security indoctrinations of SCI accesses for new employees
Composes the Technical Security volumes
Review the Standard Form 86 (SF86) and implement security policy of the ICD 704 to determine TS/SCI clearance eligibility for National Security Positions
Send and receive Visit Authorization requests for all classifications (Collateral, SAP, and TS/SCI)
Investigate and Adjudicate Security incidents that occur at the facility and collaborate with the cognizance authority as required
Compose Security recommendations and best Security practices from the analysis of the investigative report to include in the employee security file
Implemented safeguarding polices and document control procedures for classified documents
Implement visitor and access control policy for secured spaces
Perform combination changes on X-09 and X-10 secure locks
Perform and manage contract security compliance audits, inventories, self-inspection, random inspections, and physical security inspections per the Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) and NISPOM requirements
Schedule and administer debriefing sessions for all departing personnel
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of experience within facility security activities required.
Required Experience: 5+ years of experience coordinating facility security activities
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
Required Skills and Abilities: Foundation of security practices and procedures
Security Clearance Level: Must have an active TS with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Location: This is an onsite position working in our Herndon, VA office 5 days a week

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
