  Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.We are looking for a Sales Engineer who is accustomed to solving customer'smost complex problems and closing large deals. In this role you will workdirectly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs ofour customers, strategize on how to navigate winning sales cycles, providecompelling value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof ofConcepts, and ultimately close business.As a Snowflake Sales Engineer you must share our passion about reinventing thedatabase space, thrive in a dynamic environment and have the flexibility andwillingness to jump in and get things done. You are equally comfortable inboth a business and technical context, interacting with executives andtalking shop with technical audiences.IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technicalcontributors at prospects and customersWork hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate thevalue of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proofof concept to design and implementationImmerse yourself in the ever-evolving industry, maintaining a deepunderstanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors andhow to position Snowflake in relation to them.Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing tocontinuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing

  ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years within a pre-salesenvironmentOutstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences,whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.Broad range of experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehousetechnology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologiesHands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analyticsAbility to connect a customer's specific business problems and Snowflake'ssolutionsUniversity degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or relatedfields, or equivalent experience preferredExperience with GSIs (EY, Deloitte, Accenture, etc), would bebeneficial, but not required.ABOUT OUR TEAM:Our Sales Engineers are customer obsessed and we believe in the value we canadd and stay honest about it.   The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:This role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's commission plan and itis common for employees in this role to receive total on-target earnings of$203,800 - $283,500. The estimated base salary for this role is$152,850 - $212,625.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's equity plan.The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based onpermissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, andgeographic location. his role is also eligible for a competitive packagethat includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disabilityinsurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & healthsavings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parentalleave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable andaccelerate our growth.
