Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical interim Senior Revenue Operations Analyst to support a large Fortune 500 Tech company. The Senior Revenue Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting revenue operations by providing data analysis, reporting, and ensuring data integrity for revenue recognition processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources to support revenue recognition activities.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through data validation and reconciliation processes.
Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement through data analysis.
Prepare and generate reports related to revenue recognition, including revenue summaries, deferred revenue schedules, and contract analysis reports.
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights into revenue performance and trends.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
Manage data uploads into the revenue recognition system or ERP system, including sales transactions, contract details, and billing information.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data across systems.
Troubleshoot data issues and discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Identify opportunities to streamline revenue recognition processes and improve efficiency.
Recommend and implement process improvements, automation solutions, and best practices.
Collaborate with IT and systems teams to enhance data management capabilities and system functionality.
Partner with sales, marketing, finance, and accounting teams to align revenue operations with business objectives.
Serve as a liaison between different departments to address data-related issues and drive process improvements.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve issues.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
5+ years of experience in revenue operations, data analysis, or related roles.
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, or Tableau.
Experience with revenue recognition processes and accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of ERP systems and data integration principles is a plus.
