Job Summary
Responsible for crafting short-term and long-term strategies for Renewables business initiatives. Role requires understanding of current and emerging clean energy technologies, in-depth financial modeling, strategic planning, and analysis. Provide vital research and support for regulatory cases, evaluates financial impacts of renewable and clean energy initiatives, and formulates business plans to achieve strategic goals. Stages analyses and plans to senior management and other departments within the company.Span of Control: 0, Individual Contributor.
Key Accountabilities
Develops detailed financial models on a variety of clean energy technologies to facilitate strategic decision-making and enhance the financial performance of renewable energy projects.Analyzes the financial implications of internal and external clean energy proposals, including regulatory and policy changes, on strategic, operating, and financial aspects.Assists in creating strategic presentations, executive summaries, and deliverables for senior management.Constructs business cases for major projects, integrating technology options and financial considerations into strategic planning.Collaborates with cross-functional teams to investigate, analyze, and advise senior management on strategic and operational clean energy matters.Utilizes analytical and financial expertise to support various business units, ensuring sound financial decision-making.Acts as an internal consultant for the Renewables business unit, offering insights to support overarching strategic initiatives.Applies continuous improvement methodologies to identify deficiencies and enhance processes.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of job-related experience within strategy, finance or business, or engineering, specific to renewables/clean energy or utility industry.
