About You and this Role
Dowis seeking aSenior Reliability Engineerto support our Texas Operations manufacturing site located inFreeport, TX.In this role, you will support Site Logistics operations/assets across both Plant B & Poly Site Logistics facilities. You will help develop the business/facility maintenance strategy and address reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and tools, enabling the facility to meet its business plan and strategy.
Responsibilities
Sets and Achieves plant specific reliability targets.
Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs.
Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement.
Evaluates effectiveness of individual aspects of the PPM program by showing quantitatively the impact of failures and Predictive Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
Identifies and resolve Top Reliability Opportunities and decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet plant specific reliability targets.
Uses reliability engineering principles and tools (Weibull, RCI, FMEA) to identify and eliminate negative reliability trends and equipment performance.
Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.
Leads Facility Reliability Condition assessments to implement corrective action to maintain or improve plant health.
Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.
Assists maintenance representatives and project teams to design reliability, availability, and maintainability into new plants and equipment systems using GPM work process discipline.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (i.e. reliability, engineering, manufacturing, or related)
Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

This role is primarily onsite. Flexible/hybrid work arrangements are available and may be accommodated within the parameters of Dow’s Design Your Day workplace model.
