Kelly Science is seeking a Senior R&D Scientist for a client located near Bellefonte, PA.

　　Salary: $85,000-$110,000/year

　　Shift: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

　　Employment Type: Full Time; Direct Hire

　　Summary:

　　As the Senior R&D Scientist, you will be working within the research laboratories and scale up the nanoparticle development. You will also be executing synthesis and analysis of exploratory materials for chromatography applications.

　　Job Duties include:

　　• Research and development activities within the areas of silicone chemistry, nanomaterials, porous silica, thin film processing and surface science.

　　• Execute synthesis and analysis of exploratory materials for chromatography applications. • Lead applied research projects.

　　• Develop and test new and alternative materials for next generation chromatography supports.

　　• Scale up the nanoparticle development.

　　• Work with multi-disciplinary teams

　　Qualifications:

　　• Master’s degree in chemistry, Material Science or a scientific related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience working with silicone chemistry, nanoparticle development, or porous silica.

　　OR

　　• PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, or a scientific related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience working with silicone chemistry, nanoparticle development, or porous silica.

　　• Experience utilizing HPLC for instrumental analysis strongly preferred.

　　• Ability to multi-task, work in fast paced environments, and work in a team environment.
