About Director, Global Security

  Meaningful Work From Day One

  Lead the global security function to ensure the safety of both our employees and physical assets and advise senior management on significant security issues that could threaten our employees or operations.

  What You Can Expect

  Develop and implement a global security strategy, including operating procedures, consistent with Senior Security Executive Standard (ASIS SSE – 2022), to protect people and physical assets. This includes, but is not limited to: physical assets, travel security, executive protection, events and promotional activity, and transportation security. Operating procedures include risk assessments, policies, procedures, training, monitoring of controls, threat detection and reporting.

  Define the threat in both quantitative and qualitative terms, provide a perspective on its velocity and be able to represent how Brown-Forman compares to that of other companies with a similar profile.

  Experienced with developing and sustaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders (e.g. Corporate Engineering, IT Security, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Site Leadership, Law Department) to ensure alignment on the threat and plan to close any gaps.

  Stay current with evolving security threats, including active assailant and political and terrorist activities, and their potential impact on the company’s operations with a focus on Latin American and Mexico, and lead the process to identify, develop and implement solutions to mitigate the threats.

  Develop security awareness training programs, as needed, that are tailored to the specific security risks faced by each production facility or office.

  Serve as the company’s liaison with local law enforcement, U.S. State Department, security officials of international companies, professional organizations and external security consultants in order to remain aware of the degree of any threat and the recommended mitigation measures.

  Keep senior management informed of serious security threats and/or evolving security threats that could significantly impact the company’s operations and recommend solutions.

  Prepare and distribute a Quarterly Security Report of significant security incidents and corrective actions.

  Remain current with new technology and trends in the field of security in order to recommend new equipment and/or practices that could enhance security or reduce costs.

  Manage the investigation of significant security incidents.

  What You Bring to the Table

  Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in corporate security, with at least 5 years experience as the head of the security function and at least three years of recent international experience with an emphasis on Mexico and/or Latin America.

  Significant knowledge of the global cargo security risk and demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective cargo security loss control measures, including knowledge of the U.S. Customs C-TPAT regulations and the U.S. Government security community contacts.

  Experienced in using Senior Security Executive Standard frameworks and other security methodologies to identify/assess threats; assess adequacy of security controls and systems; recommend improvements; and assist with the implementation of the improvements, as needed.

  In-depth technical knowledge of security standards, programs, techniques, and state-of-the art equipment.

  Working knowledge of Google Suite and comfortable drafting documents, manipulating data in spreadsheets, creating presentations.

  What Makes You Unique

  BA or BS degree (or higher) in related field

  Fluency in Spanish

  Certified Protection Professional (CPP) experienced with developing and implementing Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) initiative
