This position is responsible for….
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategizing, facilitating, and overseeing the successful execution of assigned complex initiatives or projects through to delivery. S/he will liaise between project members including, cross-functional teams, external vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, tasks, milestones, deadlines, budgets are coordinated and met. S/he will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Project Management Institute (PMI) practices and principles.
Your day will be very busy… you will:
Develops project plans including defining the project goals and objectives, activities, milestones, costs of project, equipment, and other resource requirements to complete the activities required to take projects from kickoff to closure with quantified outcomes and achievement of chartered objectives as prescribed by the sponsor.
Collaborates with and supports internal business partners to execute projects and ongoing operations as approved by the executive leadership team (ELT) and assigned by the Director, Project Management while managing risk and costs.
Facilitates and provides coaching to others in the preparation of presentations for the leaders via forums to include the weekly project team meetings, project steering committee meetings and conducts project and status meetings to effectively drive project activities and decisions.
Utilizes Power BI to analyze current state performance health via gap and root analysis and establish future state business process with metrics outcomes.
Aligns expertise with the Project Management Office (PMO) operating model and project management framework.
Works with functional business groups to develop and implement policy, process and system improvements leading to sustained solutions, quantified results and monitored performance health.
Initiates, coordinates, and leads projects with continuous improvement objectives while modeling the Lean Six Sigma mindset via the application of define, measure, analyze, design, and verify (DMADV) and define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) tools.
Leads, manages, and oversees all aspects of the project plan implementation of sustainable solutions in all Breg functional areas and identifies critical path activities.
Provides project planning and estimating skills for build out of the detailed project plans and maintains overall accountability for work planning, project documentation and status reporting to the Director, Project Management, and other stakeholders.
Interfaces with functional areas to establish work plans and resources for each project and project phase and coordinates project personnel activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets while identifying and managing project risk using collective experience of the project and leadership teams and escalating issues as needed.
Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes and tools used for effective project delivery while leveraging leading project management tools and methodologies to improve team execution and collaboration.
Uses technical expertise and business acumen to drive project decisions to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance.
What your background will be:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations or industrial engineering required.
Minimum of 10+ years of applicable project management experiences required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma certification strongly preferred.
Advanced level user of Oracle ERP workflows preferred.
Experience with change management models (awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement (ADKAR), Blanchard, Kotter, McKinsey) preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement tools, including value stream mapping, fishbone diagrams, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), pareto analysis and control plans required.
Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, Power BI, MS Outlook, MS Office to include Advanced skills Project, Word, Excel and the ability to produce presentation-ready slides in PowerPoint at the Executive team level. Technical competence includes the ability to learn new software and systems.
