MassHealth is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the work of the Chief of Staff’s Office. Reporting to the MassHealth Deputy Chief of Staff, the Senior Project Managerwill work on high-priority initiatives across the organization as project manager and cross-team coordinator. The selected candidate will coordinate across teams to achieve key objectives, respond to urgent asks from other agencies and external stakeholders, and develop and implement new policies. Strong candidates will have exceptional organizational skills, experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives, and experience working in a fast-paced organization with evolving priorities. A background in and passion for public service, health care, and health equity preferred. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Support the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff on high priority, inter-departmental projects related to policy development, program implementation and operations. o Plan, organize and implement projects and special initiatives at the direction of the Chief of Staff and Medicaid Director; o Facilitate and support collaborative problem solving and decision-making processes, and track follow up requests as needed to move projects forward; o Take initiative to identify and implement strategies and manage timelines to accomplish Medicaid strategic and operational goals; and o Support preparation of memos, presentations, and documentation for the Chief of Staff and Medicaid Director on policy, program, and financial issues and strategies * Manage all agency approvals that require Medicaid Director sign-off. o Organize and shepherd a high volume of approvals reviewed by the Medicaid Director including, but not limited to, reports, federal submissions, regulations, and contracts. Thesedocuments require the input of many stakeholders and have strict deadlines. * Provide support for day-to-day operations on the Chief of Staff Team. o Manage administrative operations and communications on the Chief Staff, including coordinating agenda items for weekly executive meetings and monthly leadership meetings at the direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff; o Prepare documents, presentations, and reports for the Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff as requested related to process flows and project management; o Manage and track administrative tasks related to onboarding and hiring of new staff, such as arranging network and laptop access; and o Coordinate and staff meetings on an as needed basis. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Experience in consulting, project management, strategy, health care, policy development, government, and/or Medicaid * Excellent analytic and project management skills * Passion for public service * Experience leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects successfully and on-time * Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously to successful completion * Ability to adjust to varying and changing situations to meet required objectives * Ability and motivation to learn quickly, and to work independently and collaboratively, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships * Ability to communicate effectively in both writing and oral presentation * Experience presenting information in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel _About MASSHEALTH:_ To improve the health outcomes of our diverse members and their families by providing access to integrated health care services that promote sustainable & equitable health, well-being, independence and quality of life.
