　　Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Senior Project Designer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will have a focus around system design, design as a service and managing design builds for global strategic accounts with electronic security systems including but not limited to ACS, VMS, Intercoms, Intruder Alarm Systems and Speed Gates. This role will provide security engineering and design support / oversight for the Strategic Enterprise Solutions Team. 　　Carries out in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and contracts in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements; supports a wide variety of project aspects including design, planning, design engineering.

　　Provides electronic security consultative and system design services and may include on site surveys and analysis of customer facilities when appropriate to develop security applications and solutions.

　　Provides input on and reviews security standards, shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on customer site assessments, customer standards, project plans and specifications, showing location of devices, equipment, and wiring etc.

　　Creates and documents customer specific security standards, design guides, templates and folders in order to facilitate the design engineering of projects for customers.

　　Advises Project Manager regarding appropriate products needed for installation, identifying any items which have longer lead times, and works with our vendors / partners on an ongoing basis to ensure best support and from them for our customers and projects.

　　Always acts as “our customer’s best service provider” thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.

　　May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and support the execution of systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.

　　Prepares and/or reviews formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support each contract. May be required to perform other project support duties as needed.

　　Acts as a technical resource and support to sales executives including attending presentations to the customer and pre booking meetings.

　　Using technical knowledge, skills and experience, acts as mentor and provides training for less experienced staff. Provides performance feedback to management regarding project designers. Transfers knowledge and expertise to other colleagues.

　　Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

　　What You’ll Need

　　Excellent AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

　　Extensive electronic security systems design and scoping capabilities.

　　Deep working knowledge of global strategic accounts, multi-site and or country project coordination and design as well as knowledge around corporate campus security systems.

　　Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

　　Strong Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet of the needs and wants of the customer.

　　Initiative – Engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities of improvement.

　　Analytical Thinking – Logically breaks down problems and looks for solutions.

　　Requirements:

　　Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering, or low-voltage systems design coursework strongly preferred

　　Experience:

　　Minimum of five years of previous design engineering or project management experience.Experience in one or more of the following industries preferred: electronic security (preferred), fire alarm & life safety, building automation.
