We're looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Program Manager (PM) to drive e-commerce packaging strategy for our Sustainable Packaging field team.This PM will be responsible for developing and scaling sustainable e-commerce packaging standards, solutions, reporting, and tools across several internal stakeholders and external vendors. Primary focus will be sustaining and evolution for our catalog of "No Added Packaging" programs in order to meet our sustainability, quality, and financial goals. This includes standardization of process, quality measurement and adjustment, inventive solutions to monitor and maintain package compliance, and future state progression towards automation integration."No Added Packaging" is a combination of SIOC (Ship in Own Container), SIOB (Ship in Own Bag), and SAS (Ship Aware SIOC), with the ultimate goal of reducing outer-packaging consumable additions such as corrugate, bags, dunnage, tape etc. This process includes field and lab testing of products to ensure they will stand up to the rigors of our fulfillment chain from Pick to door.This position requires the ability to design and implement solutions that scale across the billions of products Amazon sells. To be successful, the PM will need excellent communication skills, ownership, and collaboration to drive engagement across multiple stakeholders (Safety, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, System configuration, operations, etc.). In Sustainable Packaging, we interface with core Operations, Amazon Robotics, Fulfillment Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Data Science to identify solutions which eliminate waste, reduce damages, and drive significant savings for Amazon and our customers.In addition, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting (BOTH hands-on and digital diagnosis of data), problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
