The Senior Manager, Programs - Maritime Systems Programs will have the responsibility to lead development and production programs as well as drive new business development initiatives. In this role, you will have P&L responsibility and will manage all the activities for assigned programs involving various departments and cross-functional teams.
Collins Maritime Systems business is a world leader in the design, manufacture, integration, and support of submarine life-support systems, torpedo propulsion systems, and large fuel cells for submarine propulsion, fuel cells for Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUV) propulsion, and fuel cell refueling systems. Our operations are in Windsor Locks, CT; San Dimas, CA; and Rockford, IL. We compete in U.S. and international markets using our technology and innovation expertise, specialized capabilities of our people, long and trusted relationships with our customers, modular designs that can adapt to new applications, and a diverse product portfolio that comprises mature and newly developed products.
This position will work onsite in our Windsor Locks, CT facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineering, operations, and program staff with overall P&L responsibility for the execution of Maritime programs.
Lead and manage product development, production, and post-delivery support programs.
Manage program scope, deliveries, and costs to contract requirements using the required Collins program management tools.
Partner with functional organizations such as operations, finance, contracts, engineering, supply chain, and quality to achieve program objectives.
Lead major proposal efforts and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
Implement strong program management discipline within the program’s IPT.
Demonstrate program ownership and be the face of the program internally as well as with external stakeholders and customers.
Communication to Maritime management and Collins leadership of program status, risks and opportunities, and financial position through periodic Estimates-At-Completion (EACs) and Program Assessments.
Contribute to the Maritime Strategic Plan development and deployment.
30% domestic and international travel
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 10 years relevant experience in program management; or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience in program management.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in US DoD and international MoD program management.
Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Estimate-at-Completions (EACs), MS Project, @Risk, and program Risk & Opportunity Management
Prior experience and demonstrated ability to support strategic planning and market forecasting to identify and win future high-value new business opportunities.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
