Manager - Real Estate Finance
JOB SUMMARY:The Manager - Real Estate Finance oversees accounting of the Real Estate portfolio for Chubb.
In this role, the Manager will partner with the Global Corporate Real Estate team (GCRE), third party lease administration, lease accounting team, and the various business segments to manage the booking & reporting of actuals, relay the implications on a post allocated basis, and aid in financial planning. The role will support providing accurate and reliable financial reporting under tight deadlines and close collaboration with business partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage month end financial close procedures including JEs, account reconciliation, and lease accounting * Track and manage Real Estate projects and capital schedules * Assist in global monthly reporting consolidation and forecasting * Oversee business level allocations by segment and department * Leverage systems for financial & lease related data reporting * Engage and drive communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, such as segment financial leads * Look for opportunities for process improvements and automation in team responsibilities. * Collaborate with other team members and support other projects as needed * Opportunity for direct or indirect management of other staff
Technical Skills and Requirements: * 6+ years' experience in a finance/accounting role, with increasing responsibility and complexity * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance * Strong accounting background with GL and BS management; CPA Preferred * Experience in real estate accounting preferred but not mandatory * Strong attention to detail * Strong time management and organization skills * Proactive with an aptitude for process improvement * Ability to keep and respect the utmost of confidentiality and discretion
