About Senior Product Owner

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Product Owner maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, andwork is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience leading enterprise-level projects (as business or IT) with multiple sub-areas, directly impacting organizational metrics (such as NPSt), developing user stories for use in development sprints, and/or directly influencing or leading work improving the customer experience in a strategic manner

Experience in Product Ownership and/or Product Management

Must have experience working in an Agile environment

Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including but not limited to presentation skills to leadership

Proven leadership capabilities enabling value and experience-driven values and outcomes

Ability to see yourself in strategies and to not only deliver against them, but to shape, reset and evolve them as business needs shift

Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Detail oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills

Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and lead project

Work-At-Home Requirements

At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Preferred Qualifications

Product Owner, Product Management and/or SAFe Agile Certifications

SAFe Agile experience

Experience in developing and leveraging consumer journey maps

Experience in leading PI planning and value stream mapping

Member/Consumer design experience

Strong understanding of Humana's LOBs

Strategic development experience

Salesforce CRM experience

ETL, DataPower, Mulesoft experience

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$93,000 - $128,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
