　　Stantec's economists and economic development staff work across our main markets, supporting public and private infrastructure development ranging from commercial, retail & housing development; innovation centres; visitor attractions and public realm improvements. 　　Reporting to our Economics Lead in Scotland, you will play a key role in the team. You will be involved in managing and supervising junior staff as well as being involved in planning for growth and recruitment activities. You will build up client relationships, providing market leading advice and services. You will have project development responsibility and will work with other team members to develop their skills.

　　Importantly, you will play a key collaborative role alongside our design teams, providing invaluable support in developing funding and business cases and in supporting planning and other consenting applications through sound economic arguments.

　　ABOUT YOU

　　We are looking for experienced project manager with a commercial background ideally gained in a consultancy environment and an ability to win work and forge client relationships.

　　You’ll have an economics, planning or related degree and strong experience in economic development/ strategy/ economic analysis. You’ll have a good understanding and experience of economic development and the planning system.

　　You’ll have experience of public and private sector requirements, economic assessments & appraisals and business case development. Your understanding and experience of applying economic principles associated with development and infrastructure will be important to your success.
