For our German Payroll team, currently consisting of seven specialists (m/f/d), we are looking for a
Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) - Bensheim, Germany
with the option of taking over the lead as Payroll Manager Germany . A long handover phase is guaranteed.
Responsibilities:
Designing the monthly payroll, in line with the latest tax and social security legislation, for a defined group of employees
Assist in testing new payroll, deductions, accruals and other new programs in a test environment
Continuously evaluate, improve and maintain existing work processes to ensure the most effective use of resources and optimize operations
Establish and maintain close working relationships with all levels of the organization, third party vendors to resolve issues and drive process improvements
Properly manage payroll data, time and attendance, records and internal controls
Improve local processes and systems to ensure cost and operational efficiencies in accordance with global guidelines
Train team members on relevant topics such as documentation or audit compliance
Profile:
University degree in the commercial field or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in payroll processing in an international team or in a multinational organization
In-depth understanding of the rules, regulations, policies and practices that govern payroll payments, distributions and records in various jurisdictions.
Advanced data modeling skills in Excel e.g. Vlookup, pivot tables and data filtering
Ability to work under pressure and complete multi-faceted projects in conjunction with daily work
Confident handling of SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors or comparable HCM to Pay products
Knowledge and understanding of HR, Benefits and Payroll interfaces and their implications
Integrity, proactivity, affinity for numbers and high analytical skills
An eye for detail as well as a reflective and critical perception
Excellent communication skills in both English and German, as well as high interpersonal skills are essential
Work proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
