SENIOR MICROSTRATEGY ADMINISTRATOR / BIG DATA / AWS

　　ALTA IT Services has a 12 month+ contract opening for a Senior MicroStrategy Administrator to support a Reston, VA- based health insurance customer. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the design, code modification and modernization of MicroStrategy to integrate with Big Data in the AWS Cloud. Work is day to day remote with the expectation of monthly/quarterly meetings in Reston, VA.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Modernize existing code to integrate MicroStrategy and Big Data technology in AWS including integrate and utilize different database such as PostgreSQL, EMR, Snowflake

　　Help with performance tuning and develop best practices.

　　Design secure code and environment

　　Provide support to cross teams and cross projects with deployment and upgrade including troubleshooting of incidents to maintain the required service level.

　　Work on complex, major or highly visible tasks in support of multiple projects that require multiple areas of expertise in an Enterprise environment.

　　Automation and DevOps for MicroStrategy and Big Data technology

　　REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

　　5-8 years of experience in the administration and support of MicroStrategy and Big data

　　2+ years of experience with AWS (S3, RedShift, EC2)

　　5-8 years of experience in a Linux and Apache processing environment

　　5-8 years of experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL

　　Ability to modify the environment to ensure scaling, reliability, and performance of the environment.

　　Experience working with and/or building automation tools, Migration, Administration, Library, MicroStrategy Mobile and Mobile App, Performance, Security, Customizations (SDK), both for configuration and testing

　　Must be able to benchmark systems and analyze system bottlenecks in a hybrid environment and propose solutions to eliminate them.

　　Experience with automation scripting. Responsible for researching and providing recommendations on automating administration tasks.

　　Ability to work and collaborate in a fast pace and multi-tasking in an enterprise and virtual environment.

　　Excellent communication and team-oriented individual

　　Excellent in debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting with across teams, with bug fixes, software upgrades and escalations.

　　Prior experience with Big Data platforms (Cloudera, Presto, etc.) is a Plus

　　Experience with Ab Initio and MicroStrategy integration is a Plus.

　　Certification for AWS and/or GCP is a plus.

　　HOURLY RATE: $80/HR Range W2 Benefits Available. C2C is OK through an employer/supplier.
